Subsequently was Business Development Director for MB Faber before undertaking BD consultancy roles for James Fisher Nuclear and Ansaldo Nucleare. An extremely confident, competent and innovative engineer by profession, Jim was granted Fellowship to the Institution of Engineering and Technology in 2002. Jean john-carineFlecher

Jean Flecher is a graduated engineer in Chemical Engineering. His early career involved a variety of roles in design, development and commissioning of nuclear fuel processing facilities, and also on various non-nuclear engineering projects.

Then Jean moved to the nuclear material transport business as Contract Director in charge of negotiating and implementing transport contracts, among which to be noted the contract with the Japanese Utilities for the transport of MOX fuel from Europe to Japan (in partnership with BNFL).

Until January 2016 Jean was Vice-President with AREVA in charge of developing the UK waste management and decommissioning market, this including the LLWR and Sellafield competitions, the UK New MOX Plant, and a number of Tier 2 projects among which the SDP project. Jean served as Board Director in a number of UK companies and joint ventures.

He has worked on over 90% of the UK nuclear licenced sites for companies such as BNFL, Magnox, Bechtel, and CH2M Hill,particularly in the area of Project and Programme Management He has experience of developing product and business streams and an excellent overall knowledge of the Nuclear Supply Chain. He has a very practical approach to the Nuclear Decommissioning market and has the ability to apply his knowledge to solving client problems in a “common sense” manner.
